The other day I was quite happily ignoring Matthew getting on with other jobs and letting Matthew do his own thing. Until I realised it had gone a bit quiet which usually means Matthew is trying to sneak somewhere.
So I check all his usual spots, hasn’t gone through the dog door, isn’t playing in the bathroom, isn’t pulling DVD’s off the rack. But no worries, as I continue my search for him I see something out of the corner of my eye. A little monkey had found the open door I’d opened in hopes he wouldn’t see it, crawled outside and was quite happily enjoying himself some water and dirt. So I did what any good mother would do, left him to continue while I went and got my camera all sorted to take some pictures of him.
Yes, that last one is him shovelling dirt into his mouth. Was no worries though, after the photos I cleared out his mouth, gave him a wash down and new clothes, then he went off to sleep, tired from his adventure.

Love it! It’s exactly how kids should be – dirty and having fun. I love that you left him to it and got the camera to catch the moment.
Awesome!
So refreshing to see a parent who isnt afraid of letting their child explore the world :0)
Glad to know that you’re allowing your son to experience fun stuff at a very young age! He looks like he had a lot of fun…
